Why see a chiropractor?

“Oh you're a chiropractor, if my back ever gets sore I’ll come and see you” is a phrase I hear so often. And it’s true chiropractors can help back pain and help treat these injuries. However what most people don’t know is that really is just the tip of the iceberg.

As a chiropractor my main goal is to get your body functioning and moving in the best way possible. Our bodies are made to move, all of the spinal joints are made to move and the things we do each day puts stress on our bodies, spine and joints and can stop this movement from occurring.

Yes chiropractors help with back pain and neck pain but our main goal is to help you function better, it just so happens when you function better you feel better (in most cases).

This is why by adjusting the spine and getting the body moving well again people find relief for all sorts of things.

Headaches, sciatica, migraines, pregnancy pains, shoulder injuries, stress, poor sleep, posture, mobility issues, developmental delays, growing pains and the list goes on. These are all things that people have found relief for through chiropractic care.

I’m not claiming we or chiropractic can fix or cure all of these issues, but if the body is moving and functioning at its best then there is a chance that the above can change and you can find relief in a natural, safe way.

So why would you book in?

It may be a health concern you have had for a while that nothing else has helped with. You may have a desk job and find your neck gets tight. You might not sleep well. Your baby might seem tense, uncomfortable and unsettled. You might want to make sure you’re in proper alignment … or you might just have a sore back.
